Downtown Ace Hardware opened in 1990 at 227 S. College Ave (one door south of our current location). After 10 years we outgrew the space and moved right next door, in May of 2001. Some of you might remember Larabee’s Furniture, that occupied our space for many years.
In October, we will be celebrating our 28th anniversary.
We carry 60,000 skus in the store and have many more thousands available to us within a business day. We pride ourselves on our customer service and product selection.
We love being a part of old town and its increasingly busy and unique shopping and living environment.
STYLE Magazine voted us Best Hardware Store for several years. What truly makes us a favorite destination in old town (aside from the popcorn) is our staff, many whom have been with us for many years.
